Full supported – mountain guides, cooks, service staff, and camping infrastructure. Pack horses carry group and personal equipment, you ride with just a daypack.
Mix of traditional guesthouse (Kyzyl-Kol village), tent camps (with dining tent and portable WC), and heated yurts at 3,600 m with hot showers.
No riding experience required – horses are well-trained, calm, and suited for non-riders who are comfortable on a horse.
Two very different landscapes – gentle forested hills of the Tien-Shan versus the stark, high-altitude grandeur of the Pamirs.
For travellers who crave both mountain adventure and cultural depth, this 15-day itinerary delivers the best of both worlds: half trekking, half cultural exploration.
You'll begin with 6 days of gentle horseback riding through the Western Tien-Shan: walnut and spruce forests, past alpine lakes, and over scenic passes, with pack horses carrying all your gear. Your destination: Lake Sary-Chelek, Central Asia's third-deepest lake (234 m), cradled in a biosphere reserve. Riding pace is relaxed, trails are non-technical - so you focus on the rhythm of the saddle, the scent of juniper, and the silence of the mountains.
Then you’ll transfer to the Pamir Highway and spend four days beneath the snowy north face of Lenin Peak (7,134 m), where you’ll ride to turquoise lakes, massive glaciers, and great viewpoints. Here you'll stay in our “Edelweiss Meadow” yurt camp at 3,600 m - where hot showers and chef-prepared meals await after each day's ride.
There's a unique rhythm to riding in the mountains - the steady pace of the horse, the changing light on the peaks, the silence broken only by hooves on stone. It's meditation in motion. Add pure mountain air, and wildflower meadows – you’ll return truly refreshed.
